Conway is the county seat of Horry County and home to approximately 26,000 residents, plus the student population of Coastal Carolina University. While Conway retains its historic small-town charm along the Waccamaw River, its roadways bear the burden of being a major feeder to the Myrtle Beach tourist corridor.
Highway 501 between Conway and Myrtle Beach is one of the most congested and dangerous corridors in the region, with traffic volumes that spike dramatically during tourist season. Two Coastal Carolina University students were hit by a vehicle near campus in early 2026, the same stretch of road where the university is building a $10 million pedestrian overpass. Roden Law’s attorneys serve all of Conway from our Murrells Inlet office. Call (843) 612-1980 for a free consultation.
