Carolina Forest is one of the fastest-growing communities in Horry County, a master-planned area of approximately 16,500 residents located between Myrtle Beach and Conway along Highway 501. Nearly half of the 25-square-mile area has been set aside for conservation, but the roads serving it were not designed for the explosive population growth the community has experienced.
The Highway 501 and Carolina Forest Boulevard intersection has been identified by the SCDPS as one of the five worst intersections in Horry County, with complaints of drivers running red lights, cutting others off, and dangerously long wait times. A 30-acre wildfire in the Carolina Forest area in early 2026 caused additional road closures and hazards. Roden Law’s Murrells Inlet attorneys serve Carolina Forest residents.
